For our Friends and Family Visiting from out of town
If you are going to be staying overnight in the Lodi area, there is a pretty great shopping center with a Costco, Starbucks, and Fairfield Inn within 5 minutes of Phil and Debbie’s home and also 8 minutes away from St. Anne’s Church.
The Hampton Inn is also right down the road from the ol’ Amick roost, an excellent choice as well - Denny’s is a stones throw away.
Below are a few links to our favorite hotels in the area:
Trav’s Favorite Digs
Rubios: Authentic Coastal Cuisine that Trav liked to scarf when a lite meal was on his mind.
Mama Amicks Home Kitchen: Reservations required, please let us know if you will be stopping by so that Momma A can whip up some a$$ dip, a batch of chocolate chip cookies, a wacky cake, or one of Trav’s favorites - leg of lamb! Ok, maybe not the lamb.
Other places Trav and the Family like to go in Lodi
Grub
Lodi is also host to a blossoming service industry, with restaurants and “local grub spots” aplenty. Check out this list of Amick Approved establishments:
The Avenue Grill - Stacey has been a server here for the better part of a decade. Amazingly massive portions accompany a hometown feel and extremely friendly staff. Phil recommends the “Big Daddy Burger”.
Pietros Italian Tratoria - Travis, Jason, and Scott all worked at Pietros at one point in their high school years. This upscale, classic Italian menu is hosted by our family friends, the Murdaca’s. Scott recommends the Chicken Piccata and the table bread.
Whether its taking a liesurely stroll in nature or watching the little ones explore their creative science side, our family has a few winners that we can share with you while you are in town.
